Why should I choose The Style Counsel Academy?
We are dedicated to your success.
We have a modern, flexible approach to Image and Style Consultancy. We are not bound by rigid rules and provide a training which is constantly evolving and relevant for both clients and consultants today.
What format does the course take?
The course takes place over seven intensive days. The are 3 x 2 modules each 2 weeks apart, and a final 1 day consolidation module. Our comprehensive course manuals/workbooks are included in the price. Using these you will be able to practise the skills and assimilate the information presented in the modules. This way we can hopefully solve problems as they arise. You will achieve your qualification quickly without sacrificing theoretical or practical content.
What about the practical content of the course?
Throughout the course you will use live models and visit real shops! This will give you the opportunity to carry out full consultations, including our special body mapping technique, and practise accompanied shopping trips during the modules.
Why do you include website design in the package?
We acknowledge the emerging importance of the internet for business set up and development, so we actually include the design and production of your company website in our course fee, and include detailed lectures covering site optimisation and marketing. We also include a stationery design package, enabling you to start your business quickly and easily after graduation.
What about the psychology of it all?
We understand the immensity of starting your own business, which can be confusing and even daunting. In addition to giving you comprehensive practical and informational training in image consultancy and business, we include sessions with a Master Practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming, encouraging positive behaviour and thinking and effective client interaction.
What happens after I graduate?
-You will receive 1:1 mentoring fortnightly for the first three months and monthly for the second three months. In between we will always be on hand to help and advise you and answer any queries. As a graduate of The Style Counsel Academy you will automatically become a member of The Style Counsel Network with access to regular interactive events with inspirational speakers and our Newsletter full of all the latest news from the world of image and fashion, lots of practical tips and business development suggestions.
Who lectures on the course?
In addition to our Director, Maggie McMillan, our lecturers are all of the highest calibre, experts in their own field, be it hair and make-up, finance, retail, ect. Each course will include a special inspirational lecture from a well known personality from the world of fashion design. All lecturers have lots of practical experience are united in their dedication to your success.
Is this a franchise?
This is absolutely not a franchise! You will be free to run your own business quite independently. You will, however, be able to purchase supplies through us at wholesale prices through our Style Counsel Network.
Where is the course held?
-The course is held in the glorious barn conference centre at Bix Manor, just outside Henley on Thames, home of The Style Counsel. The venue is easily accessible by rail and road. We offer morning refreshments, a delicious lunch and afternoon tea, all home cooked by the Bix Manor team. There is an excellent choice of reasonably priced accommodation nearby.
How much does this cost?
The cost of the course is £3000.00 including VAT. This includes all workbooks/manuals, practical tools, business plan kit and website, stationery and mentoring packages.
